I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. While seeking my masters in Applied Learning and Instruction, I completed course work in Motivation in Learning and Performance, Fundamentals of Graduate Research in Education, Lifespan of Human Development and Learning, Learning Theories and Leadership, and Seminar in Applied Learning and Instruction. During my nearly 25 years as a Florida certified educator, in private and public education, I have served in various administrative, teaching, tutoring, and mentoring/coaching roles. 

Our Educational Coaches: 

Katelyn McCormick: 

Ms. McCormick is new to the Ormond beachside area and teaches kindergarten at George Marks Elementary in Deland. She has endorsements in elementary and early childhood education and has her Masters in Teaching and Curriculum. She coaches students in PK - 2nd grade in all subjects.  

Mia James: 

Mrs. James is a beloved middle and high school teacher in the Ormond Beach area. She has a Bachelors Degree in International Affairs and course work toward her Masters in Educational Leadership. She coaches students in pre-algebra, algebra, language arts for grades 6-12, social studies for grades 5-9, study skills for grades 6-12, homeschool coaching for grades 6-12, and special project guidance and coaching for grades 6-12.

Belinda Symmes: 

Mrs. Symmes is new to the area and comes to us with a Ph.D. and extensive experience teaching middle, high school, and college math. She has also taught undergraduate classes for educators, including Foundations of Geometry for Teachers, Foundations of Math for Teachers, Math Methods for Teachers, Integers, Geometry and Measurement, Patterns to Functions, Data Analysis, Rational Numbers, and Continuous Functions, and graduate level classes including Improvement of K-12 Mathematics Instruction and Teaching Mathematics to Students with Learning Difficulties. She coaches students in Algebra I and II, Geometry, Advanced Mathematics, Trigonometry, and College Algebra.


Dixie Scudiero:

Mrs. Scudiero is a dynamic intensive reading middle school teacher in Ormond Beach. She has a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education with endorsements for K-12 reading and ESOL. She coaches students in grades 4-8 in reading, study/organziational skills. 

Jenna Pender: 

Mrs. Pender is a certified elementary school teacher and currently teaches fourth grade gifted at Tomoka Elementary School. She has her Bachelors in Organizational Communication and her Masters in Elementary Education with endorsements in ESOL and Gifted Education. She coaches students in grades K-5, in all subject areas and will offer writing boot camps for grades K-2 and 3-5.

Mandy Stockhammer:

Mrs. Stockhammer is a certified elementary school teacher with a Bachelors in Business. She has coursework in Spanish, and has worked as a volunteer, substitute teacher, and tutor for individuals and small groups in reading and writing. She coaches students in grades 1-5 with homework assistance in all subject areas including Spanish, up to Spanish 1.








My mission is to work with students, and all who support them, in their journey toward success. I offer programs that not only teach specific content and concepts, but that also instill a love of learning, create a curiosity about the world, and provide the tools and skills needed to investigate, create, and discover.
